Job Summary: Supports nursing personnel in patient care units, coordinates activities, and provides direction to Clinical Staff.

Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Organize and oversee patient care delivery during assigned shifts, ensuring proper staffing and smooth operations of patient care units.
  
• Coach and counsel individual team members, monitoring and providing feedback on performance and addressing training needs.
  
• Document daily staffing, operational, and administrative records, maintaining compliance with governmental policies and procedures.
  
• Provide direction and support to nursing staff, demonstrating and promoting respect for the dignity and rights of every patient.
  
• Allocate team resources responsibly and equitably, delegate appropriate levels of responsibility and authority, and provide oversight and guidance.
  
• Mediate and resolve conflicts among individuals, groups, and departments.

  • Utilize the Nursing Process to assess patient needs, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes.
    
  • Anticipate and plan for admission/discharge/transfer needs to facilitate patient flow.
    
  • Plan, direct, and evaluate the overall nursing care and functions in a particular nursing unit during assigned shifts.
    
  • Incorporate patient safety practices/guidelines to promote a safe environment resulting in positive patient outcomes.
    
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for patient care, providing continuing feedback, recognizing achievement, and recommending improvement.
    
    
    Technical Competencies:

    • Follow specific clinical procedures and standards, analyzing policy and standards documentation and ensuring organizational compliance.
      
    • Share experiences with maintaining paper and electronic patient documentation, describing the flow of information between various stations or units.
      
    • Describe experience with basic medical equipment used in own unit or facility, using standard diagnostic tools and techniques to resolve common equipment problems.
      
    • Share experiences with processing medical orders for one or more groups of patients or conditions, describing functions and features of the system used to enter, validate, update, and forward medical orders.
      
      
      Job Requirements:
      
      • 
        
      • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred.
        
      • 2 years of clinical patient care experience in a relevant setting.
        
      • BLS required, RN License in state of employment or compact.
        
        
        Work Schedule:
        5 Days - 8 Hours
