Hiring Range: $79,185.60 - $104,395.20/Year. It is anticipated
the hiring rate offered will be +/- the midpoint range depending on
qualifications.

Port Corpus Christi Authority (PCCA) is currently seeking a dynamic
professional to join our team! This position will lead all aspects
of grant pursuits, ensure timely and efficient submission of grant
application and reporting of documents. Grant application
development will involve researching, identifying, outlining,
developing, writing, and submitting applications; reporting
functions include tracking, collecting, and submitting required
reports and documentation to administer grant-funded projects and
ensure compliance with contractual obligations. This position will
also perform specialized work in a dynamic, deadline-driven
environment, requiring the ability to develop productive working
relationships, collaborate effectively with internal and external
stakeholders, and exercise appropriate independent judgment within
established policies and procedures; while providing support to the
Strategic Planning Manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Develops and maintains awareness of PCCA programs, objectives,
strategies
Researches and identifies potential grant resources to fund PCCA
priority projects
Synthesizes information and prepares reports to assist leadership
in determining feasibility of supplementing, developing, and/or
expanding programs using grant resources
Identifies and outlines application requirements and convenes
subject matter experts across departments and operational
disciplines to facilitate completion and on-time submission of full
grant proposal packages (narratives, budgets, exhibits, and
appendices)
Facilitates discussions and processes to ensure timely development
of technical application content across a range of disciplines
Coordinates processes to uphold grant applications, modifications,
reporting, and renewal deadlines
Develops and maintains data collection systems and liaises with
relevant colleagues to collect and collate operational details and
budgetary information to produce timely and comprehensive reports
and updates
Utilizes grants management system software to track information and
produce complex reports required by local, state, and federal
funders
Maintains records of current and archived grant-funded projects and
grant applications
Contributes as directed to the analysis of fiscal, administrative,
and operational activities of PCCA departments to support strategic
business needs
Works non-standard business hours when necessary to meet
deadlines
Performs other duties as assigned and/or related work as
required
CPR certified or the ability to become CPR certified within the
first year of employment
Tier 3 status designation
CANDIDATE PROFILE
The preferred candidate for this position should be an analytical,
methodical, proactive, efficient individual who demonstrates a
commitment to being part of a high-functioning team. This position
requires exemplary written and verbal communication skills who can
function well in a dynamic and fast-paced, collaborative
environment with a focus on maintaining optimal integrity in
support of the PCCA. They must possess the following:
EDUCATION & CREDENTIALS
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
Master's Degree or equivalent OR three to five years grants-related
experience preferred
Ability to obtain and maintain a Transportation Worker
Identification Credential (TWIC) during course of employment
Valid driver's license
EXPERIENCE & JOB KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge and proven experience developing grants and funding
agreements, meeting federal and state grants compliance
requirements, and administering contract
Demonstrated experience collaborating with people of diverse
backgrounds and subject matter expertise
Strong project management skills
Ability to prioritize work assignments to meet deadlines
Ability to work independently within a structured environment and
to fit well within an energetic and dedicated team
Effective communicator with demonstrated interpersonal,
collaboration, and critical thinking skills
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Ability to understand, interpret and apply PCCA policies, SEAPORT
values, state/federal laws
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Proficiency in Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook & Teams) and other
related applications
Strong analytical skills (financial or accounting experience
preferred)
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Ability to perform essential job functions, including but not
limited to frequent standing, walking, sitting, speaking or
hearing, typing and occasional reaching, stooping, kneeling,
lifting and/or moving up to 20 pounds with or without reasonable
accommodation
Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined, climb
stairs, ramps, ladders and work stands. Must be able to crouch,
crawl, grasp/handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee
and reach above/below shoulders
Ability to work in a general office environment, with some exposure
to the elements when visiting worksites
Ability to operate light-weight highway vehicles and standard
office equipment and to work the requisite hours to fulfill
position objectives, including evenings and/or weekends, as
needed
